| This is the place where the major celebrations
of the Bajada take place. Such as: Danza de los
Enanos (The Dwarfs’ dance), Minué
(the dance inspired in the 17th century)and the favourite
concerts: Juanes, Amaral, Carlinhos Brown, Óscar
De León, Mojinos Escozíos, David DeMaría,
Manolo Escobar and Karina. Besides Gala de Elección
de la Reina, the international folklore festival , el
Festival Canario (the Canarian festival) and Antología
de la Zarzuela) |

DE LAS FIESTAS |
| The place to enjoy yourself while dancing
to the rhythm of the best orchestras in the verbenas.
Almost every orchestra of the island will play. What
is more, on July,14th there will be a marathon with
6 of them |

MATRIZ DE EL SALVADOR |
| The home of the patron Madonna las
Nieves during her visit to Santa Cruz de la Palma. And,
of course, the church where the major Bajada
religious celebrations will be held. Since the Bendición
de la Bandera (Blessing of the flag) on July 3rd
up to misas de despedida (farewell masses)
on August 5th. |
| CALLE REAL
(O´DALY) |
| The town’s big and main street.
Along this street the Enanos will dance after dancing
in the Recinto Central de las Fiestas. Besides, sport
celebrations and Carro Anunciador de la Bajada |
PLAZA DE
SANTO DOMINGO |
| The most traditional venue for the
celebration of Bajada de la Virgen. Jorge Drexler´s
concert will be held here. Besides, the Festival Folclórico
Regional, celebrations for children and the Luchada
Lustral (Canarian ring-fighting exhibition) |
| AYUNTAMIENTO |
| The Town Hall will be home to the Fallo
del IV Premio Internacional de Poesía (Result
of the international poetry prize). |

| PLAZA DE
ESPAÑA |
| The neuralgic center of the town, crisscrossed
by Calle Real and very close to the Town Hall and the
church Matriz de El Salvador. Los Enanos will dance
here on July 24th in front of the Madonna las Nieves
and the Loa de Llegada will be also celebrated
in this place on July 17th. Likewise, puppets, sport
competitions and concerts of the Banda Municipal
de Música (the local music band) |
| CASTILLO
DE LA VIRGEN |
| During Bajada de la Virgen you can
see here the María flag. The castle is also one
of the protagonists of the Diálogo on
July, 17th. |
| BARCO DE
LA VIRGEN |
| This ship is considered as a permanent
representative of the Patron Madonna in the town. Located
at one side of the Barranco de las Nieves (las Nieves
ravine), it plays an important role in the Diálogo
on July 17th |
| LA ALAMEDA |
| Meeting point of Romeros (people
wearing the traditional and typical costume of different
parts of the island and who have taken part in the Romería,that
is, the parade from the church Las Nieves to Santa Cruz
de la Palma). Also, musical and sport activities and
celebrations |
| TEATRO CHICO |
| The beautiful stage of this theatre
will be home to theatre performances, Festivalito de
Cine Digital showings and some concerts such as Jorge
Pardo and Anticraisis Consort |
| REAL CLUB
NÁUTICO |
| The venue of the Torneo Internacional
de Ajedrez (international chess tournament) but
it will be specially important for the Regata Lustral
(on July, 1st and the 2nd.) |
ANTIGUO CONVENTO
DE SAN FRANCISCO |
| This former monastery and the square
next to it will be home to the Festival Lírico
(lyrical festival) and the opera Tosca on June 25th
and 27th. |
| PABELLÓN
MIRAFLORES |
| The ideal place for the major sport
competitions (football, rhytmic gymnastics, basketball
and so on). It is located scarcely at a 15 minute-driving
distance from the downtown area, along the road driving
to Velhoco. |
| CANCHAS AVENIDA
MARÍTIMA / PIVABI |
| Your children will fall in love with
this place. Here there will be PIVABI (Parque Infantil
de la Bajada de la Virgen, that is, Bajada de la
virgen children park). Resides, Els Comediants, sport
competitions and Fuegos de la Virgen. (fireworks) |
| PLAYA DE
BAJAMAR |
| This beach, belonging to Breña
Alta but very near to the town, will be the venue of
Torneo de Fútbol Playa ( Beach football
tournament) on July 22nd, 23rd and 24th. |
| PLAZA JOSÉ
MATA |
| This square, dedicated to the only
famous bullfighter of the island, will be home to puppets
and clowns thanks to Tal Cual Troupe. |
| HOSPITAL
DE DOLORES |
| The Enanos have not forgotten that
there are old and ill people who cannot go to see them
dancing. Therefore, they dance on July 23rd at the Dolores
Hospital. |
| ESTACIÓN
MARÍTIMA |
| Here you will find the craftsmanship
fair from July, 7th to 13th. |
